Direct Support Professionals

We offer rewarding entry-level opportunities to provide ongoing support to people in becoming active participants in every aspect of their lives (i.e., self-care routines to include feeding, showering, dressing, health, safety, household chores, socialization and overall well being) and to ensure that all people supported are living self- directed lives.

Available Hours:
Weekday/Weekend evenings (3 pm -11 pm)
Mornings (7 am – 3 pm)
Weekends (7 am – 3 pm /3 pm – 11 pm)
Overnight Positions (11 pm – 7 am & 11 pm – 9 am)

All positions require a minimum of a High School Diploma or Equivalent and a Valid and Qualified NYS driver’s license.

Annual Willowbrook Lecture – Disability Activism Zoom Event @ Join us on Zoom!

Avoiding the Next Willowbrook: Lessons Learned about Activism from Parents

This online Zoom event presents experiences of parents whose children lived at the Willowbrook State School. Included is what happened to their children at Willowbrook and how the parents became activists participating in the events that led to the closure of the institution. Parents also describe a lifetime of activism and what might be helpful today to people with disabilities, parents, and families. Opportunities will be available for attendees to get involved.

This Zoom event is open to everyone. People with disabilities, their families and friends, advocates, and professionals in the field are encouraged to register.

We are planning to return to Eisenhower Park on October 17 for our annual fundraising walk and celebration. Stay tuned to learn about fun mini-challenges to get you moving, fundraising and spreading awareness.

Leading up to the event, walkers and teams fundraise for the AHRC Foundation, and together we can ensure that children and adults with developmental disabilities across Long Island will live their happiest, healthiest, best life!
