Camper FAQ

Is Camp Loyaltown currently open?   

Currently our program is offering virtual programming through ZOOM. You may contact our offices for more information: camp@citizens-inc.org.  Our team is answering our main number at 516-293-1111 x5141.

Will Camp Loyaltown be opening for summer 2021? 

At this time, we are waiting on a clearer vision of 2021. As our priority is the health and safety of all campers as well as our staff, this coordination of efforts remains a very fluid process and we will be providing continual updates on this website. Please check this page regularly for new information.

When will the camp application for summer 2021 be available?    

Availability of this year’s application is to be determined as we wait on a clearer vision of 2021. 

Is there a chance my camper will not be enrolled due to medical diagnosis?   

Every camper’s medical status is reviewed by our medical team and it is at their determination that the camper can be medically supported at Camp Loyaltown.

Am I guaranteed a space if I was enrolled for summer 2020, do I have to reapply?    

Everyone will have to reapply on the Bunk1.com website if they want to be considered for summer 2021. Please ensure you have access to your Bunk1 account.

I have just heard about Camp Loyaltown and would like to try it this year. Are you accepting new campers?   

Priority will be given to campers who have previously attended or been screened to attend in 2020. We will be reevaluating our spots after the priority placements and if there are openings we will open our application to new campers.

Is the camp going to require campers and staff wear a mask?  

Camp Loyaltown campers and staff must abide by the Department of Health (Greene County) guidelines at all times.

Is the camp going to require camper receive the vaccination for COVID-19?

Staff FAQ

Will Camp Loyaltown be opening for summer 2021? 

At this time, we are waiting on a clearer vision of 2021. As our priority is the health and safety of all campers as well as our staff, this coordination of efforts remains a very fluid process and we will be providing continual updates on this website. Please check this page, Facebook Staff 2021 as well as your e-mail.  We will use the e-mail we have for you on file.  If you are not receiving e-mails, please e-mail jwalker@citizens-inc.org so we can ensure we have the correct one.

Will I have the same position as I was hired for in 2020?

Due to COVID-19 there are chances that our camper enrollment and staffing patterns will be different in 2021. This year we ask for your patience is accepting a role as camp counselor with the possibility of position change closer to our summer season. Regardless, your pay rate will be the same.

If I am a returning counselor, am I allowed to return in May?    

We are currently asking team members to assess if they can come in May. Please let us know as soon as possible if this is an option for you.

Is my VISA from 2020 still good because I did not get to come?   

For all questions regarding your VISA and transportation to America, please contact your recruiting agency. They will be better able to answer this and any question you have regarding these topics.

Will I have to quarantine once I arrive in New York?     

Once you arrive, all exchange visitors and employees will be asked to follow the guidelines set by the Department of Health of Greene County. This can involve quarantining on camp.

Is there a chance I will not be allowed on camp due to a pre-existing medical diagnosis?   

Medical status of each team member is reviewed by our medical team and it is at their determination if a person is medically cleared to be on camp.

Am I guaranteed placement if I was signed up for summer 2020, do I have to reapply?    

Everyone will have to reapply on the Bunk1.com website if they want to be considered for summer 2021. Please ensure you have access to your Bunk1 account and complete the 2021 Staff Application.

Is the camp going to require campers and staff wear a mask?
